Severe Storms Cause Widespread Flooding in Philadelphia Area

Residents in the 900 block of Springfield Road in Darby Borough were evacuated due to rising water on Darby Creek. Flooding is expected to continue throughout the day, with lighter rain persisting until early afternoon. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is developing plans for a levy to address the recurring flooding issue. Motorists are advised to exercise caution as some roadways are impacted by rainwater.
