A fierce storm in New Jersey has caused power outages to over 45,000 homes and businesses, with more than half of the outages affecting JCP&L customers. The storm brought flooding downpours and wind gusts exceeding 50 mph, leading to road closures and multiple warnings from the National Weather Service. Monmouth County and Morris County were the most affected areas, with over 10,000 and 8,000 outages respectively.
