Severe storms threaten Metro Detroit, Dallas, and DFW this week.

Metro Detroit is under a marginal risk for severe weather, with parts of Washtenaw, Monroe, and Lenawee counties under a slight risk for severe weather. The strongest storms are expected to be in Iowa, Indiana, and the Gulf. The best chance for the strongest storms in Metro Detroit is just after midnight, with severe threats geared more towards strong winds. The storm system will also bring strong gusty winds, with gusts up to 35mph outside of any storms and near 45mph at times on Saturday. A few rain showers are looking likely at times on Saturday, with perhaps a few flakes mixing in as well. Another system brings rain chances Tuesday into Wednesday of next week. The Tigers Home Opener is still looking like it will be dry on Thursday.
