Snowy Weekend Ahead: What to Expect and When

The forecast for Kansas City is calling for a snowstorm, but meteorologist Joe Lauria cautions against taking the models' predictions at face value. While some models are suggesting a significant snowfall of 4-7 inches, Lauria believes the actual accumulations will be much lower. He expects minor accumulations today, with the core of the snowfall occurring tonight, ranging from 1-2 inches on the southeast side of the metro area to 3-4 inches on the far northwest side. Temperatures will be cold, with highs in the 30s today and upper 30s tomorrow.
