Southern California Battling Strong Santa Ana Winds

Strong north to northeast winds are sweeping through Southern California, with peak gusts of 40 to 60 mph in mountain and foothill communities and 30 to 50 mph gusts in some valley and coastal areas. The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning for parts of Ventura County until Monday afternoon, with the potential for downed trees, power outages, and hazardous driving conditions. A brief warming trend will be followed by colder temperatures starting on Thanksgiving Day, with midweek temperatures ranging from the low 50s at night to upper 70s and low 80s during the day in metropolitan Los Angeles.
