Southern California Braces for More Spring Storms and Landslide Concerns

Southern California experienced a rare tornado warning due to a storm that brought downpours, flooding, and thunderstorms. The storm will continue to deliver mountain snow and scattered showers on Wednesday, with temperatures running 10 to 15 degrees below normal. The rain will be more scattered in nature, with up to 3 inches of rain expected along the coast and in the valleys. Foothill and mountain communities will see 3 to 6 inches of rain. A winter storm warning remains in effect for the LA area mountains, with several inches of snow possible along the Grapevine section of the 5 Freeway. The storm will move out by Thursday, with Friday and the weekend looking cool and dry.
