Texas Braces for Dangerous Heat Wave
TL;DR
Houston is under a rare excessive heat warning due to a combination of high temperatures and humidity, with temperatures feeling like 108 to 113 degrees plus through at least Saturday. There is no relief in sight until the end of next week. Houston may also tie a record high from 1902. A tropical wave off the coast of Africa has a 40% chance of becoming the next named tropical storm.
