Tropical Storm Ophelia wreaks havoc on East Coast, more storms on the horizon

Tropical Storm Ophelia is expected to bring heavy rain, strong winds, and coastal flooding to New Jersey this weekend. The storm, which may weaken to a tropical or subtropical depression, is forecasted to bring 2 to 3 inches of rain, with some areas receiving up to 4 inches. Coastal areas could experience winds of 30 to 40 mph, with gusts up to 50 to 60 mph, potentially causing power outages. Water levels along the Jersey Shore may rise one to three feet above normal, leading to moderate to near-major flooding.
