Weather Alert: Rain turns to snow, possible flooding

A cold front will bring rain switching to snow throughout the day, with the heaviest rain expected in eastern areas. Snow showers will start in the evening, making for wet and slushy roadways and difficult travel. A winter weather advisory has been issued for Preston and Garrett counties due to expected snowfall amounts of 5-6 inches. Scattered snow showers will continue into Monday, with lower elevations seeing little to no snow and areas along I-80 potentially receiving up to 2 inches. The Laurel Highlands could see 3-6 inches of snow. The rest of the week will have sunny skies and temperatures in the 40s.
