Weekend Weather Update: Rainy Easter Weekend in South Central and New Orleans.

South Central Texas received much-needed rainfall this past week, with over an inch and a half recorded at San Antonio International Airport and higher, multi-inch totals in southern and eastern counties. While the region still needs 6-12 inches of rain to alleviate drought conditions, this recent rainfall should help chip away at it. The latest drought monitor does not include this rain event, so improvements may be seen in the next update. Mia Montgomery, a meteorologist with KSAT Weather Authority, reports on the rainfall and drought conditions in the region.
