Winter Storm Sweeps Across Southern US, Bringing Snow, Rain, and Wind

A snowstorm is expected to bring heavy, wet snow to parts of northern New Mexico through Thursday, making travel difficult. Rain will also fall in other areas of the state. The heaviest snowfall is predicted for the northern mountains and along the I-25 corridor. Snow and rain will continue through Thursday morning before tapering off in the afternoon. Up to 24 inches of snow is possible in the northern mountains, while other areas may see 6-12 inches. Drier weather will return on Friday with a gradual warming trend. Another winter storm is expected by the end of next week.
