"Winter Storms Lash Eastern U.S. and Midwest, Impacting 10 States with Snow and Wind"
TL;DR
The eastern and central U.S. are bracing for a series of winter storms, driven by the El Niño climate pattern, that could bring heavy snow, blizzard conditions, and severe weather through the middle of next week. The first storm is expected to hit on Saturday with significant snowfall inland, while the second storm, tracking further west, could cause blizzard conditions in the Midwest and flooding on the East Coast due to heavy rain and melting snow. Over 20 million people are under winter storm watches, and disruptions to daily life, including travel plans, are anticipated.
