Winter Weather Advisory: Snow Hits Colorado, First Alert Weather Day

Winter weather advisories are in effect for Denver and surrounding areas, with snowfall expected to continue overnight. Accumulating snowfall of 4-10 inches is forecasted in the mountains, 4-8 inches in the Palmer Divide, and 6-12 inches in the southern foothills. Slick and snow-covered roads are possible, and a winter storm warning is in effect for northern El Paso County. Snow showers will continue on Friday night, with higher totals in the foothills and Palmer Divide. Chilly temperatures will persist, with highs in the upper 30s on Saturday. Sunshine returns on Sunday and Monday, followed by another system bringing showers and colder temperatures on Tuesday.
