"Wintry Mix: Heavy Snow and Rain to Impact Monday Commute"

A powerful winter/spring storm system is expected to bring snow and heavy rain to much of the region through Tuesday, with 1 to 2 inches of overall liquid precipitation likely across much of Minnesota and Iowa. Snow is forecast to change to rain and then back to snow, with potential for additional accumulation and strong wind gusts creating blowing snow. Travel conditions are expected to deteriorate quickly, especially in areas across Western and Central Minnesota, where a foot or more of snow is possible.
