"Wintry Mix to Soaking Rain: D.C. Braces for Weekend Winter Storm Shift"
TL;DR
The D.C. area is experiencing a quick transition from a wintry mix to heavy rain, with winter weather advisories in place west of I-95 and a winter storm warning for parts of Virginia and Maryland. The day's weather is rated a low 2/10 due to the unpleasant combination of rain and cold temperatures. Snow accumulation is expected to be minimal except in certain areas well west and north of the city. The storm is set to clear by tonight, leading to a partly sunny and breezy Sunday. Another storm is anticipated on Tuesday, likely bringing heavy rain and warmer temperatures.
