Wintry weather gives way to milder temperatures for the weekend.

A bubble of high pressure will bring more sunshine and milder temperatures to Minnesota from Thursday through Saturday, with highs approaching 40 degrees on Thursday and mid-40s on Friday. By Saturday, many more areas in Minnesota will reach 40 degrees, and southeastern Minnesota could see more 50-degree temperatures as snow cover fades quickly. The European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts model suggests 50s for the Twin Cities around the middle of next week.
