Identifying the Victims: Migrants Found Dead at US-Canada Border

The bodies of eight migrants, including two families from India and Romania, were found in a marsh on the St Lawrence river last week. Police believe they were trying to cross into the US. The Romanian family was identified as Florin Iordache, Cristina (Monalisa) Zenaida Iordache, and their two young children. The Indian family was identified as Praveeni Chaudhary, Diksha Chaudhary, Meet Chaudhary, and Vidhi Chaudhary. The families were in Canada on visitor visas. US border agents have noted a recent uptick of people crossing from Canada.
