NATO-led interceptor downs Ukrainian drone over Estonia during Baltic policing drill
A Romanian F-16, training with NATO’s Baltic Air Policing mission, shot down a Ukrainian drone that crossed into Estonian airspace. Ukraine apologized, while NATO officials framed the incident as a routine demonstration of allied defense in the Baltics amid Russian-directed electronic warfare. It marks the first drone downing in Estonia and comes amid a broader uptick in drone activity affecting the region.
