Former Fairfax Co. Student Turned Astronaut Inspires Current Students with Speech

Students at Robinson Secondary School in Fairfax County, Virginia, were inspired by a speech from astronaut and alum Kjell Lindgren, who graduated from the high school in 1991 and was selected to be a NASA astronaut in 2009. Lindgren spoke about his journey to becoming an astronaut, including his medical discharge from the Air Force, and encouraged students to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and math to advance space exploration.
