"Revolutionizing Technology with Magnetic Hopfion Rings"

Researchers have discovered a new phenomenon in magnetic crystals where twisted skyrmion strings can be bent into rings, forming hopfion rings. Using transmission electron microscopy and micromagnetic simulations, the researchers observed and classified these hopfion rings based on their skyrmion-hopfion topological charge. The stability and size of the hopfion rings were found to be influenced by external magnetic fields and sample temperature. This discovery expands our understanding of magnetic solitons and their behavior in chiral magnets.
