Chicago Gears Up for High-Speed NASCAR Race in 2023

NASCAR's first-ever street race in Chicago is expected to bring in $113 million to the city's economy and generate more than $3 million in tax revenue. The event is estimated to attract visitors from all 50 states and 13 different countries, with more than 50,000 people expected to attend. The race will also bring extra foot traffic to the downtown area, benefiting local restaurants and small businesses. Four out of 10 NASCAR visitors are expected to stay in hotels, generating 24,000 total hotel room nights.
