Fox Keeps NFL Rights Stable Through 2029, Eyes 2030 Outlook
TL;DR
Fox will stand pat on its NFL rights deal through 2029, not paying more for the next four seasons and only signaling interest in talks for 2030 onward; the NFL’s current packages with Fox, NBC, Amazon and YouTube could end after 2029, with ESPN/ABC potentially exiting after 2030 and CBS under terms through 2029, while Lachlan Murdoch says the relationship is positive and there is a clear path forward. If other networks also stand pat, the next rights cycle could get complex, but a new, high-value slate of deals is expected for all parties.
