Small businesses in KC suffer during NFL Draft weekend.

Dozens of small businesses in Kansas City reported a dip in sales during the NFL Draft weekend, despite expecting huge crowds. Café Cà Phê posted to Instagram saying draft weekend led to “the biggest dip in sales history.” Local businesses said they think there are a number of reasons for that drop in business, including a lack of parking options and that the draft was turnkey — it had everything visitors might need inside of the event itself. Now, these small businesses say they’ll learn from this weekend and bounce back.
