Ferrari's Austrian FP struggles raise doubts about Barcelona form

Ferrari could not back up its Barcelona win in Austria as Leclerc called Friday's practice difficult and the car lacked grip and pace, leaving them far from the front and behind Mercedes and McLaren in FP2. Team boss Fred Vasseur cited sweltering, variable conditions and tyre degradation as factors and said Ferrari still has a lot of work to do, with only a modest engine upgrade in the pipeline and the potential to unlock more overnight.
