Ford's Electric Mustang Super Cobra Jet Aims for Speed and Record-Breaking Performance

Ford has unveiled the Mustang Super Cobra Jet 1800, an upgraded version of the Mustang Cobra Jet 1400, which set an NHRA record for a full-bodied EV drag car in 2020. The Super Cobra Jet 1800 has 1,800 horsepower, a revised battery system, a new transmission, and changes to the chassis and control software. Ford will attempt to break its own record for the fastest standing quarter-mile of a full-bodied EV, as well as world records for the fastest two-wheel-drive and fastest overall EV to 60 mph.
