Hackers Strike Back: Spyware App Hacked, Thousands of Victims Rescued

Hackers have targeted the creators of a popular mobile spyware app, deleting all victim data and exposing the identities of those who paid for the service. The hackers gained access to a database containing information on 76,000 Android devices infected with the spyware, primarily located in Brazil. Instead of stealing the data, the hackers rendered the spyware useless by removing the infected devices from its network. They also shared a separate database with a transparency group, containing customer IP addresses, purchase history, and details of the devices infected. Spyware apps like this are not available on official app stores and can be used to gather private information from victims' devices.
