LockBit Ransomware Targets Mac Devices for the First Time

LockBit, one of the most powerful ransomware gangs, appears to have developed its first ransomware for Macs, according to MalwareHunterTeam. While it is not fully clear, it may also be the first time a major ransomware gang is targeting Apple devices. LockBit is believed to be a Russian-based group that runs a ransomware-as-a-service (RaaS) operation. The group's leader is known for his business savvy, making LockBit very attractive to criminals. With the gang's RaaS approach, it's possible we could see an incoming wave of ransomware attacks targeting Macs.
