Walmart folds Vizio into its account system as new TVs push Walmart sign-ins

Walmart completed its 2024 purchase of Vizio and is phasing out Vizio accounts, requiring sign-in or a new Walmart account when you buy a Vizio TV. You can merge an existing Vizio account with Walmart or delete it (with a 30-day window to export data); the merge option currently applies to new TVs but should later apply to existing owners.
