EA Sports' brand VP, David Jackson, expressed "huge confidence" in the company's first football game without the FIFA license, EA Sports FC, which is set to release this year. Jackson believes that breaking away from FIFA will allow the company to introduce new and engaging experiences for players and expand its games beyond traditional 11v11 modes. Authenticity and innovation remain paramount to the EA Sports experience, with 19,000 players, 700 teams, and 30 leagues in the game. EA CEO Andrew Wilson previously stated that the FIFA license had been an impediment to the company's ambitions for the game series.
