TL;DR

Halloween: The Game debuted at #24 on the Xbox Top 40, marking one of 2026’s biggest premium Xbox launches without Game Pass, and quickly drew strong launch numbers (11.2% more players than MLB The Show 26) as Illfonic’s online horror title sits among the year's top non‑Game Pass releases. Initial feedback is mixed-to-positive, with early bugs patched after a September 11 update; its long-term performance remains uncertain.
