"Minecraft Legends Development Ceases: Mojang and Blackbird Halt Updates"
TL;DR
Mojang and Blackbird Interactive are halting further development on Minecraft Legends almost a year after its release, with the game set to receive only backend support and a final in-game challenge in January. The decision comes after Blackbird laid off 41 employees last year and canceled several unannounced projects. Mojang plans to focus on other Minecraft spinoffs and bring new experiences to the brand, while the future of Blackbird remains uncertain.
