The popular game Palworld, described as "Pokémon With Guns," is experiencing a discrepancy in multiplayer capabilities between its Steam and Xbox versions. While Steam players can create and join dedicated servers allowing up to 32 players, Xbox players are limited to co-op with only 2-4 players and cannot play with Steam users. The developer, Pocketpair, expressed a desire to have dedicated servers on Xbox but cited difficulties in negotiation. This limitation may impact platform purchasing decisions, and there are currently no plans for a PlayStation 5 version.
