Background

This release follows recent PS5 gaming news, including the free launch of the open-world RPG Aniimo in September 2026 and the September 2026 PS Plus Essential game lineup. It also aligns with Sony's broader strategy to integrate media content, such as the planned 2027 Crunchyroll anime hub on the PS5 home screen.

Why it matters

The launch consolidates a major franchise's history into a single purchase, offering fans a comprehensive entry point before the next mainline installment. The high initial rating of 4.83/5 on the PlayStation Store indicates strong consumer interest in the bundle.

What to watch

Players can purchase the bundle now to access the included games and platform-specific Keyblade rewards. The next major development for the franchise is the release of Kingdom Hearts IV in 2027.
