Ubisoft Axes Immortals Fenyx Rising Sequel Amid Franchise Focus Shift
TL;DR
Ubisoft has reportedly canceled the development of a sequel to Immortals Fenyx Rising, a game that launched in 2020. The decision was made due to perceived challenges in establishing the IP, and Ubisoft's shift in focus towards its bigger brands. The rumored sequel was expected to explore Polynesian mythology. Ubisoft has recently canceled three unannounced games and is now prioritizing the strengthening of its major IP and live services.
