TL;DR

Apple is expected to introduce a major user interface refresh in watchOS 10, the next version of the Apple Watch operating system, during WWDC this summer. This is in contrast to previous years where watchOS has stayed fairly static with few big shifts in design. With rumors suggesting minor hardware updates for the 2023 Apple Watch, it is "important" for watchOS to have a big year for version 10.
