TL;DR

Digimon Story: Time Stranger receives mixed reviews; praised for its engaging combat, nostalgic appeal, and deep Digimon catalog, but criticized for repetitive dungeons, dull storytelling, and linear design that hampers its potential. Overall, it is considered one of the better Digimon RPGs, especially for fans of the series, though it may not meet all expectations for innovation.
