TL;DR

Meta's CTO, Andrew Bosworth, confirms that the company will continue to support the Quest 2 for "quite a while" and that games announced in the Gaming Showcase are playable on both Quest 2 and 3. However, Quest 3-exclusive or best-on-Quest 3 games may be developed over time. Meta has a better track record of supporting the Quest 2, which has sold nearly 20 million units, compared to the original Quest.
