"Controversy Surrounds Chinese Zoo's Sun Bears: Real or Human Disguised?"
TL;DR
The Hangzhou Zoo in China has denied rumors that its sun bears are actually humans dressed in animal costumes. The controversy arose after photos and videos of a sun bear named Angela standing on her hind legs went viral, leading some internet users to question her identity. In a statement, the zoo emphasized that Angela is a real bear and not a human imposter. Sun bears, named for the golden patches of fur on their chests, are omnivores and grow to be about half the size of an American black bear.
