Elon Musk Relocates SpaceX and X HQs to Texas Over New California Law
TL;DR
Elon Musk announced that he is relocating the headquarters of SpaceX from California to Texas, specifically to the company's Starbase launch site, and moving social media company X's headquarters from San Francisco to Austin. Musk cited a new California law regarding gender identification in schools as a key reason for the move. This follows Tesla's headquarters move to Austin in 2021 and Musk's own relocation to Texas, which has no state personal income tax.
