UAW Strikes Stellantis' Largest Plant, Affects 6,800 Workers

The United Auto Workers (UAW) has expanded its strike against Stellantis, targeting the company's largest plant, the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant in Michigan. The shutdown of the plant, which produces RAM 1500 trucks, has resulted in 6,800 union members joining the picket lines. The UAW accuses Stellantis of lagging behind Ford and General Motors in addressing the demands of their workforce. Stellantis claims to have presented an improved offer to the UAW, but the union has not responded. The strike now involves more than 40,000 UAW members across the Big Three automakers.
