Deadly Russian missile attack hits central Ukraine.

At least six people were killed and several others were trapped under rubble after Russian missiles hit civilian buildings in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine. The attack is the latest in Russia's war in Ukraine, which began in February 2022. Ukrainian forces are mounting counteroffensive operations using Western-supplied firepower to try to drive out the Russians. The attack involved cruise missiles and Iranian-made Shahed drones, with air defenses shooting down 10 out of 14 cruise missiles and one of four drones. Ukrainian troops are conducting "defensive" operations outside the city of Bakhmut, and recaptured seven villages spanning 90 square kilometers of eastern Ukraine over the past week.
