Israeli Forces Arrest Director of Gaza's Al-Shifa Hospital and Medical Staff in Ongoing Conflict

The director of Gaza's Al-Shifa hospital, Mohammad Abu Salmiya, was reportedly arrested by Israeli forces, along with other medical staff. The arrest allegedly took place while Salmiya was traveling in a World Health Organization-operated convoy. Israel claims to have found evidence of the hospital being used by Hamas as a base of operation. The Hamas-run health ministry condemned the arrest and has halted coordination with the WHO. Israeli forces raided the hospital last week, alleging the presence of a Hamas command center, which both hospital officials and Hamas denied.
