Crisis in Gaza: Population flees as Israel escalates offensive
TL;DR
Large groups of people are fleeing Gaza City, as shown by satellite images, following warnings from the Israeli army and a lack of humanitarian aid. The mass evacuation may be due to leaflets dropped by the Israeli army, urging people to leave the area. Gaza is facing a near-total communications blackout, fuel shortage, and critical infrastructure impairment, hindering humanitarian efforts. UN agencies warn that Gaza's 2.3 million people are at risk of starvation and increased disease due to water and food shortages.
