IDF Recovers Bodies of Israeli Hostages Held by Hamas in Gaza Strip Operation

The body of Elia Toledano, a 28-year-old Israeli man who was taken hostage by Hamas during their attack on southern Israel on October 7, has been recovered in Gaza and brought back to Israel by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). The IDF also foiled a Hamas terrorist ambush attempt using dolls, children's backpacks, and speakers playing sounds of crying near a tunnel network. The United States is considering reactivating Palestinian security forces to govern the Gaza Strip after the conflict ends, and a U.S. defense official reported that a ballistic missile fired from Yemen struck a cargo ship in the Red Sea. Additionally, the bodies of two Israeli soldiers, Cpl. Nik Beizer and Sgt. Ron Sherman, were also recovered from Gaza. Media outlets and international organizations continue to rely on Hamas-run ministries for death toll data, despite recognizing its unreliability. Former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley criticized President Biden's foreign policy decisions, and Senator Ted Cruz called out Vice President Kamala Harris for allegedly pushing for more sympathy toward Palestinians.
