Tensions Rise as Israel and Iran Exchange Threats Amidst Gaza Conflict

Israeli officials have identified Yahya Sinwar and El Deif, two Hamas leaders, as responsible for the recent attack on Israel, which left over 1,300 people dead. The officials claim that Iran is backing Hamas financially, with weapons, training, logistics, and political support. While U.S. officials have said that Iran has long supported Hamas, there is no evidence linking the recent attack to Tehran. Israel's minister of strategic affairs, Ron Dermer, stated that Iran is behind Hamas, and without Iran, the attack could not have happened. He also compared the attack to 9/11 and emphasized that Israel will do whatever it takes to defend itself against a regime that denies the Holocaust and seeks to develop nuclear weapons.
