Unabomber Ted Kaczynski found dead in prison cell at age 81.

Ted Kaczynski, also known as the Unabomber, died by suicide at a federal prison in North Carolina at the age of 81. Kaczynski was a domestic terrorist who planted homemade bombs at universities and other locations from 1978 to 1995, killing three people and injuring 23 others. He was arrested in 1996 and pleaded guilty to the bombings two years later, receiving a life sentence without the possibility of release. Kaczynski's violent campaign was intended to bring about the collapse of the modern social order, and his attacks spurred one of the longest and most expensive manhunts in US history.
