SAG-AFTRA Members Approve Video Game Strike Authorization

SAG-AFTRA members have voted overwhelmingly to authorize a strike against 10 major video game companies, with 98.32% in favor. The guild's board and negotiating committee had already voted unanimously to recommend the authorization vote, and now that it has been approved, a strike could occur if negotiations fail to produce an acceptable agreement. The issues involved in the ongoing film and TV strike, such as wages and artificial intelligence, are also present in the video game contract. The companies facing a possible strike include Activision, Disney, Electronic Arts, and Epic Games.
