"NIH's RECOVER Initiative: Promising Studies for Alleviating Long COVID Symptoms"

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is launching clinical trials to evaluate multiple treatments for long COVID, calling on patients to participate. The trials will include four potential treatments and will lead to additional trials testing at least seven more treatments in the coming months. The goal is to find interventions that can provide relief for the millions of people suffering from long COVID symptoms, such as viral persistence, cognitive dysfunction, sleep problems, autonomic nervous system issues, and exercise intolerance. The NIH plans to enroll up to 300 participants in each trial arm and is aiming to inform clinical care for a broad range of long COVID patients.
