"Israel and Hamas Exchange Captives in Extended Cease-Fire Deal"

Israel and Hamas have agreed to extend the cease-fire in Gaza, with Hamas agreeing to release more Israeli hostages in exchange for the release of Palestinians held in Israeli jails. The extension allows for the exchange of captives and the delivery of much-needed relief aid to Gaza, which has been heavily impacted by Israeli airstrikes and a ground offensive. So far, 50 Israeli hostages and 19 captives of other nationalities have been released, and lists of captives to be freed have been exchanged. The United Nations reports that 75% of Gaza's population has been displaced by the conflict.
