Wagner Mercenaries Rule Out Ukraine Deployment, Shift Focus to Africa

Yevgeny Prigozhin, the leader of Russia's Wagner paramilitary group, announced that his troops will not return to fight in Ukraine and will instead stay in Belarus to train local troops. Prigozhin expressed his dissatisfaction with the current situation at the front and stated that his group wants no part in it. He also hinted that his troops could potentially be deployed to Africa in the future. Prigozhin's decision comes after last month's failed mutiny and subsequent relocation to Belarus, where he struck a deal with the Kremlin and Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko for his fighters to be spared prosecution in Russia.
